FIU student researchers take top honors at the STEM Undergraduate Research Symposium. One of these student researchers is Marine Science's Alex Perez from the Seagrass Lab, who tied for second place in the oral presentation category.
A group of researchers, including FIU's Mike Heithaus, recently published the paper "Global catches, exploitation rates, and rebuilding options for sharks" in Marine Policy.
FIU has received a grant to take over operations of the Aquarius Reef Base undersea habitat.
