Marine Science Seminar Series: Dr. Kate Mansfield
It is my pleasure to announce the beginning of the Spring round of the Marine Science Seminar Series, kicking off tomorrow (Wednesday, Jan 18th).
This weeks seminar speaker will be Dr. Kate Mansfield who is a Visiting Assistant Research Professor and CIMAS Fellow at Florida International University, School for Environment, Arts, and Society and NOAA's Southeast Fisheries Science Center. She will present a seminar entitled "Satellite telemetry and sea turtle life history: tracking the lost years" at 4pm in BBC 105.
In this seminar Dr. Mansfield will provide a background in Atlantic loggerhead life history and describe her current research that includes the development of methods to successfully satellite track small (12-18cm) neonate turtles in the wild.
As before, we will broadcast the seminar to MMC via Polycom.
See you there!
